Using Breath to Manage Stress
It’s not news that I’m a big meditation fan, but we obviously don’t always 30 minutes to stop, drop and zen or more than an hour for hot yoga class.
When the stressful stuff hits us, we really do need a quick calming fix to tide us over before we find more time to unwind.
I am a big fan of this Yoga Journal article and the breathing techniques it discusses. These are simple and great for anywhere. While it may take practice, don’t underestimate how even a few seconds or minutes drawing attention inward and calming cortisol can really help ease tense situations.
